Son of Hubert Izaak Walton (Director Gen. of Telegraphs, Bombay and Persian Gulf), and Diana, his wife; husband of Emily Elizabeth Grace Dalzell-Walton, of The Firs, South Brent, Devon. Served in the Bechuanaland Expedition 1884-85; the Burma War 1886-89 (twice wounded) and in the South African War.
