I am sorry that I do not know your Christian name. Your war service is recounted in the publication "Stories from the Great War", published by the Nuneaton and North Warwickshire Family History Society. It would seem most likely that you died in the ferocious artillery exchanges which preceded the last major battle of the Great War when the British 4th Army attacked the Germans on a 20 mile front. It only remains for me to add my own tribute to you as a brave soldier who died doing your duty for King and Country. It is such a shame that you died with nearly the whole of your adult life before you. Sincere sympathy both for you and for your parents and other relatives who mourned your loss. Rest in Peace. Harry.
