Jane Shawll died September 1972 aged 83 and was living in Kings Lynn, Norfolk

Pte Shawll also served with the Suffolk Regiment and East Surrey Regiment he was also awarded the British and Victory Medals

Pte Matthew Shawll is remembered with honour at Point-Du-Jour Military Cemetery, Athies
