Son of Louise Sarah Gilbert of 392 Albany Road, Camberwell, London and the late Richard Villa Gilbert

In 1911 he was living with his father in Camberwell and his sister and brother Bessie Mary and John Edward.

Christopher was in the 21st London Regiment Territorial as a Private

Christopher left effects of £15 18s 11d to his father Richard although the Commonwealth War Graves said he was deceased. There is a record showing him on an electoral roll in 1918.

Pte Gilbert was awarded the British and Victory Medals

Pte Christopher White Gilbert is remembered with honour at Reninghelst New Military Cemetery
