Whittlesey Lance Corporal Killed

It appears that Whittlesey has lost another of it brave soldiers at the front in the person of L/Cpl Samuel Parker son of Mr and Mrs S Parker of Cross Hand Peterborough Road. The parents have received notification from the War Office that L/Cpl Parker was wounded on the 6th May but a letter from his brother Herbert, who was with him states that he was killed.  Much sympathy for the parents in their sad loss.
