Son of Mary Moden and the late Charles Moden of Quinney’s Cottages, Church End, Cherry Hinton

Henry had one brother Albert and two sisters Gertrude and Florrie

In 1911 Henry was 14 years old and working as a Farm boy

Henry joined the Cambridgeshires on 3rd June 1915

Pte Moden died at Church End Cherry Hinton with his sister-in-law in attendance Mrs D. M. Moden of 25 Ross Street Cambridge. Henry died of Acute Tuberculosis

Henry had been made an Army Pensioner and was working as a Labourer at the Cement Works when he died

Pte Moden was awarded the British and Victory Medals

Pte Henry John Moden is remembered with honour at Cherry Hinton (St Andrew) Churchyard
