015 of 876 3340 Pte Charles Sebar 1st Battalion Cambridgeshire Regiment Died 1st April 1915 aged 50/54

Son of Charles and the late Emma Sebar and husband to Phoebe Sebar of 2 Albany Terrace, Wisbech

Pte Charles Sebar, known as ‘Charlie’ of No 2 Supernumerary Company 1st Battalion Cambridgeshire Regiment

He died of Chronic Bronchitis and Heart Failure at the Military Hospital in Artillery Barracks, Ipswich

He was as a Post Office worker and was listed in the London Gazette.  He is also commemorated on the War Memorial that is currently in the former Wisbech post office on Bridge Street

Pte Charles Sebar is remembered with honour at Wisbech (Mount Pleasant) Cemetery
