He was killed in action on the 31 July 1917, aged 22 years, and he commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.

 

Frank Lloyd was born at Stalybridge, Cheshire, in 1894 to Tom James and Elinor Harrison who were married at St Paul’s Church, Stayley, Stalybridge, in 1886. In 1911 he was resident with his parents and siblings on Hawke Street, Stalybridge, employed as a creeler at a cotton mill.
