265122 Private Frank Lloyd of the 1/6th Battalion, Cheshire Regiment:

 

He was killed in action on the 31 July 1917, aged 24 years, and he is buried in Buffs Road Cemetery, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium.

 

Frank Lloyd was born at Bolton, Lancashire, in 1893 to David Lloyd and Sarah Jane Langton who were married at Holy Trinity, Castle Hall, Stalybridge, Cheshire, in 1889. In 1911 he was resident with his widowed mother and siblings on Booth Street, Stalybridge, employed as a labourer at an iron works. Later his mother was resident on Higher Lord Street, Stalybridge.
