3 generations of the Harrison family from Newport served with the South Wales Borderers / 1st and 2nd Battalion.The Monmouthshire Regiment. My grandfather. Charles Bertram Harrison served as a Private in the 2nd Boer War. He later rose to RSM serving with pride. His son Charles Elon became an Officer as did his grandson Charles Peter. So the Harrison's including Theophil George believed in serving in the Army. Family members honour them all.
