Private William Percy Ramm, was born in 1898, at Hillington, in Norfolk, the eldest son of William Robert and Mary Ann Ramm. He is commemorated on the Terrington St. Clement War Memorial, along with his father, and is also remembered at the Jerusalem Memorial. William Percy enlisted on the 25th May 1915 into the Norfolk Regiment, 6th Cyclists Battalion, as no. 4646, but later transferred to the 3rd/5th Battalion no. 24098 or 240981. He served overseas from the 16th March 1916, and died on the 19th April 1917. Private William Percy Ramm was a second cousin once removed of my grandmother, Elizabeth Twite.
