Lieutenant A.Lorimer Miller, 10th Battalion,Australian Infantry Force. He died of wounds received in action in France on 8th May 1917, aged 26 and is buried in Grevilliers British Cemetery. He was the son of Alexander and Jane  Miller and the husband of E.I.Miller of 14 Holden Street, Kensington Park, South Australia. He had been born in Berwick and educated at the Grammar School and was a well known member of Berwick Cricket Club. He was in New Caledonia at the outbreak of War and went to Australia to enlist and had seen much servive in Egypt and France. His wife was a sister of the famous violinist Miss Daisy Kennedy.
