John McGrotty was our grandfather who unfortunately we never knew, our mother Margaret McGrotty was only 5 years of age when he died. While being sad at his passing we appreciate his bravery and the sacrifice that he made not only for his country but also his family who were able to grow up in a free land. We are very proud of him, he will live in our hearts forever. Granddaughters Grace, Fay and Andrea.
