Frederick and his wife, May were very recently married when he was killed on 1st November 1914. I am not related but but lived in their home from 2000. The house was built circa 1880 and it was probably the Colletts first home as a married couple. May continued to live in the house until the 1980's - she didnt remarry or have any children. There is a beautiful Magnolia Tree in the front garden and I wonder if it was planted in his memory. Their lives together were tragically cut short and the impact must have been great - I would like for them both to be remembered.
