Edwin was a proud Black Country man. He joined the Grenadier Guards to become a Guardsman and fight for his family and his country. He fought in several battles during World War 1, including the Somme (1916) and Cambrai (1917). He was injured in battle at Havrincourt on September 12th 1918 and died of his wounds on September 13th 1918. He remains fondly remembered and loved by his proud family.
