I know so little about my grandmothers first husband, other than he died during the Ist world war, leaving her widowed with two young children to raise. There names were William and Edith. I knew Aunt Edith and her family but over the years the family went seperate ways. It was only during the search for my mother that I uncovered the past history of my fathers family. I am sorry the photograph is so poor, but it is nice to know he may be remembered for the sacrifice he and the many others made.
