He was my Mother's Great Uncle. One of the first to enlist into the Leeds Bantams he was killed when a rifle grenade burst killing him and wounding 2 others. He was 19 years and 4 months old and had been in the trenches for less than two months. I only found out about him in 2010 - but better late than never
