Vincent Arthur Nobbs was born in 1892 in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. His parents were Harry and Mary Ann Nobbs (nee Burr) and he had twelve siblings.

Vincent joined the Bedfordshire Regiment and was later transferred to the Machine Gun Corps. He died on the 6th March 1917 and is buried at Couin New British Cemetery, Pas de Calais, France.
