My grandmother's brother (younger- I think) served with 11th South Lancashire Rgt which was a Divisional pioneer battalion at the time of his fatal wounding in June 1917. I believe that this was actually further up the salient in the Zonnebeeke area. His date of death is given as 25th June 1917 so he was presumably casevac'd down the line to Lijessenthook where there were hospitals but succumbed to his wounds there. My brother & I visited his grave several years ago, undoubtably the only members of his family to be able to do so.
