Alec Frederick Gray (alias Guy)  was born c1898 in Deptford.

He enlisted 29 September 1914 and gave his age as 19. His occupation was a shop assistant.

He was 5ft 3 inches tall and weighed 128lbs. He had light brown hair, blue eyes and a fresh complexion.

He was discharged in November 1914 but must have re-joined under the name Gray.

In 1911 he was living at 63 Lovelinch Street, Canterbury Road, Hatcham with his parents and brothers Ernest, William, Percy and Ronald and sister Kate.

In 1901 he was living at 63 Lovelinch Street, Deptford with his parents Arthur Job and Eliza Guy. He had 3 brothers Ernest, William and Percy and a sister Kate.

He is commmemorated at St.James,Hatcham.
