2098 Private Tom Bellringer Dawson of the 1/7th Battalion, Manchester Regiment:

 

He was killed in action on the 29 May 1915, aged 24 years, and he is buried in Redoubt Cemetery, Helles, Turkey.

 

Tom Bellringer Dawson was born in Salford in 1891 and he is the son of Thomas Dawson and Ann Bellringer Henderson who were married at Salford in 1871. In 1911 he was resident with his widowed mother and siblings on Pearl Street, Denton, employed as a labourer at a motor garage.
