I have chosen to commemorate this brave soldier as he shares the same initials as both my grandfather and father, both who are no longer with us. I know what incredible men they were and know they would be honoured to share initials with a brave soul who paid the ultimate price to ensure our freedom. WJ McKeown whoever you were, I thank you for playing your part in shaping the futures of people you would never meet. Your sacrifice has not gone unnoticed and I like many will think of you on the centenary anniversary.
