William Auld Reid joined the 9th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers. Two brothers also served, my grand dad John Reid who survived and my great uncle Edward Thomas Reid, who died on 9 October 1917. The two pictures attached show the deceased brothers and a memorial plague that is situated inside St Andrews Church, Stanley, Co., Durham.
