You were a son of Blackburn
Whose life was took too soon

No more for you, the setting sun

Or rising of the moon

But, you left us with a pride
For great courage; you did display
Proud to be Blackburnians,

A pride that fills our hearts,

Each and everyday, for the bravery

 And selfless courage
