George could well be a family to me, my mums maiden name was Hayward and  the family lived in Fareham/Gosport area for generations, I currently live less than a mile from where this gentleman’s memorial is. George’s birthday is the same as my eldest son - who today serves in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces.
