73554 Private James Follows of the 16th Bn, Royal Welsh Fusiliers:

 

He was killed in action on the 22 April 1918, aged 19 years, and he is buried in Bouzincourt Ridge Cemetery, France.

 

James Follows was born at Denton in 1898 and he is the son of Robert Follows and Harriet Keyzey who were married at St Mark’s Church, Bredbury, in 1886. Robert Follows died at Denton in 1911, aged 74 years. In 1911 James Follows was resident with his mother and brother, Harry, on Bond Street, Denton, still at school. A later address was on Amelia Street.
