352143 Lance Corporal Harry Threadgold of the 2/9th Battalion, Manchester Regiment:

 

He was killed in action on the 9 October 1917, aged 22 years, and he is buried in Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium.

 

Harry Threadgold was born at Denton on the 25 June 1895 and he is the son of Henry Threadgold and Ada Rayner who were married at Christ Church, Denton, on the 12 June 1889. In 1911 he was resident with his parents and siblings on Stockport Road, Denton, employed in the hatting industry.
