SE/26972 Handel Wilde of the Army Veterinary Corps, Depot (Woolwich):

 

He died on the 4 May 1917, aged 39 years, and he is buried in Dukinfield Cemetery.

 

Handel Wilde was born at Denton in 1877 and he is the son of Edwin Wilde and Amy Lowe who were married at St Mary’s Church, Stockport, in 1866. In 1911 he was resident with his brother, Garnet, and sister, Bertha, on Town Lane, Denton, employed as a foreman in the finishing department of a hat factory.
