I was looking into the family history and discovered my Gran had been married before, no body knew about it. They married in July 1915 and he died of his wounds in December 1916. You can view his grave online and I am sure it is a sight that she would never have seen. My grandfather survived the full war, although he had been gassed and lost his sense of smell. I have been unable to trace Arthur's relatives and as they were childless, I am doing this for my late Gran who died in 1963.
