Henry was from Sheffield and serving in the 8th battalion Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He was killed 07/06/1917 during the battle of Messines Ridge. I was given Henrys medals to look after when I was younger by his sister. I have done my best on various remeberance sites to keep Henrys memory alive and ensure his sacrifice is not forgotten. He will be on my thoughts in particular 11th November, Lest we forget.
