William Horner DCM was a regular in the West Yorkshires. Signed up in 1911 and served all the way until his death in June 1918. We are unsure if he ever met his daughter born 6 weeks before he was gassed in the front line. We know very little about him. It took time for his grandson and great granddaughter to find him. Now we have he will always be remembered, passing his story down the the next generation.
