Hector was born in Fulham in 1900 and emigrated with his parents and siblings to Adelaide Australia in 1912.

When the war broke out, he wanted to do his bit for the motherland,so he enlisted but he was under age.

After approximately a month after joining the Infantry,he left Australia for England and then onto France,where he died at the age of 17.
