My beloved son, also called Ben Dodson, died at the age of 31 on 18 May 2017, following a motorcycle accident. His life was one of joy, love, ambition, hope, resilience, humour and dedication to his family. It was a life well-lived, made possible by the sacrifice of another Ben Dodson and his comrades. Remembering also his bereaved mother, who, like me, lost her boy in the prime of his life. Our fierce love for them never dies.
