Edgar Baynes was from Radwinter Essex. He joined the Army and bravely fought for King and Country along with his two brothers James and Arthur. Edgar didn't return home from war with his brothers, a much loved son and brother lost in the horrors of war. Edgars commemoration scroll hangs in our hallway, it ends "Let those that come after, see to it that his name be not forgotten" Edgars 22 year old Great Great nephew Harry draped a union jack flag over Edgars scroll on the day of the 100 year anniversary of the first world war, he had no prompting and it was a silent act of love and respect. We came after and we have then seen to it that his name is not forgotten.
