I know many people from my family served in the war. I can always think of them being male, but to read of such a young brave woman of only 19 serving and dying in the War saddens me. She may not have been married, no children and giving up her life, fighting for use to be safe now in this generation i want to give me respect and thanks to this woman, Violet Maud Porter.
