Reginald was my Great-Uncle and of course he died decades before I was born His older brother Jack, my grandfather, also served in the Great War but despite receiving a terrible head wound, my grandfather survived until the early 1960's. Reginald's younger brother, Tom, also lived into the 60's. Both Jack and Tom were hard working family men whom I was privileged to know as a youngster, so I am sure that had he not given his life in 1916, I would also have known Reginald for several years. A sad loss to us all.
