My mum would tell us the story of how if grt uncle Bill had not given his leave time to my grandfather she and her 10 brothers and sister would never have been born grt uncle bill was not married but my grandfather was married with 1 daughter my mum's oldest sister he gave up his leave so my grandfather could return home to visit my gran and his daughter sarah jane (known to us as aunty sally) whilst my grandfather was on leave grt uncle bill who was an enigineer died apparently blown up- so by his sacrifice i am here today wrting this story and one day will visit his resting place in pozier
