Alexander, we know that your home was No 5 Ruilick where you lived with you parents Peter and Mary on the 10 acre croft there. We also know that after you answered the call and joined up you were a member of the 4th Battalion of the Camerons and died in the fighting at High Wood in September 1916 at the age of 24 years. Your battalion had been in action in the late summer of 1915 at Vielle Chappelle, but we do not know whether you were with them at this time. You had almost the whole of your adult life before you when you lost your life, and al we can do is to offer our sympathy to both you and your parents. Rest in Peace. Harry.
