I am afraid that I do not know very much about my Great Uncle. My mother Rosina Monckton was his niece and she still has the medals he was awarded. He was one of 13 children, 3 of whom died in the First World War. I thank all of them and every single person for their sacrifices. His brothers were Alfred Calver who died on 01/05/1915 and is buried in Hazebrouck and James Calver who died on 13/11/1916 and is buried in Ancre British Cemetry. I hope to be able to visit all of their graves very soon.
