Private David Gibson, 25385, 1st Bn., Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers, was born in Glasgow in 1888, beloved son of James and Jessie Gibson (nee Gray), Kirk Street, Calton, Glasgow. David was killed in action on the 1st July 1916 along with his brother James, 27668, 1st Bn., Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers who also died that day. Their sacrifice is remembered by their family, The City of Glasgow Roll of Honour of the Great War, and at Thiepval Memorial. Their name liveth for evermore.
