George matthew was the son of Matthew and Clara Freeman and the husband of Ethel and father of John robert spendelow and George Herbert spendelow he  joined the T.As in the Huntingdon cyclist and after returning home injured he rejoined in the royal Warwickshire regiment  he was killed in action in August 1917 age 26 in Belgium he also lost his youngest brother Frederick arthur freeman in France in August 1918 age 18  such sacrifice for one family we will always give thanks for the sacrifice they gave and all the other fallen soldiers.
