Ernest Edward Harris was born in 1897 in Takeley, Essex. He had an older brother Alfred and a younger brother Sidney (my great grandad). He enlisted in Chelmsford in 1915 and joined the 10th Battalion the Essex Regiment. He was killed in France on the 8th August 1918. He has no known grave but is commemorated on the wall of the cemetery in Vis-en-Artois. Thankyou great, great uncle Ernest. Lots of love from Alister, Nikki and Joseph Dawson.
