William Henry Bolton, the second son of Richard and Emily-Ann Bolton was born in Silverdale, Lancashire, England and migrated to New Zealand on his own age 19. He married a and they adopted a little girl. He served in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in France for over 2 years before being killed in action 6 months before the end of the war. He has no known grave but is remembered at the Grevilliers Cemetry in France and on a memorial near his father's house in Silverdale. Thank you for your sacrifice, you will always be remembered.
