Thank you Ethel, I am not related to you, or your family but we have been linked as we share our surname. I wanted to commemorate you because I am so grateful to you for the sacrifices you made for people like me, the sacrifice you made for me to have the privilege to live a life of freedom, it's because of you and those like you that I am independent, I am a strong woman I will never forget you, or anyone who gave up their futures for us. And, I promise you that my children will never forget, nor their children or children's children. I am so sad for you that you lost your life so young and the best I can give you in return is my promise to live a good life where I respect others and achieve my very best in the memory of you and everyone else who has fallen in the face of war.
