Harold had been at the front line in Loos For only one month and was lost in action At Lens road redoubt (known as "Dud Corner") His body was never recovered as was the case with 20,000 others. He had served with the London Scotish regiment, as his parents were of Scotish decent. He was not reported missing untill one month later. The weather for that month in Loos was heavy rain. He was eventialy reported missing on 05/01/1916 He was only 25. His brother was also killed in action. I only know this because i purchased one of his medals at a car boot sale and decided to do some research. I did not realise how deeply he would touch my heart and wonder the horrors he had witnessed Thank you
