I would like to remember Sapper Charles Henry Weller.... He has the same name as my grandfather who served in the WW!...in the RGA....he was wounded but not fatally and was fortunate in that he came home ... he also went on to serve in WW!! ... he was a quiet man who never talked about the horrors of the war... but I remember him to this day with great affection and love and am grateful that he was able to come home from war....His daily therapy was digging and planting in his garden which was abundant with fruits and vegetables .. a far cry from the terrible conditions in the trenches .. I want Sapper Charles Henry Weller to be remembered forever as he obviously was invaluable in the war effort but never came home to feel again the love of loved ones .....and to know peace .... truly grateful to him and all those who died in the battle fields.... i pray that one day their sacrifices will not have been in vain and that we will have a peace and a more lasting peace around the world.... with gratitude and prayers... and love .....
