Cyrenious Joseph Berry was born on the 27th December 1897 in Wednesbury, Staffordshire, the eldest child of William and Emily Berry. He died on the 16th April 1916 and his commemorated at Loos Memorial France. Cyrenious was not apparently killed by the enemy but by an hand grenade detonated in error by an officer in the trenches. Confirmation is still sought that this is how Cyrenious met his death but his family continue to remember and wonder what may have been. May god bless him.
