George Hall Ormerod died on 21 February 1918, aged 32 years, in the 64th Casualty Clearing Station, and is buried in Mendinghem Military Cemetery (Grave Ref. IX. D. 27).

George was the husband of Mary Ann Ormerod, of 12 King's St, Milnrow, Lancashire, and is believed to be the son of James and Mary Ormerod, who were living in Castleton, Rochdale, at the time of the 1881, 1891 and 1901 Censuses.
