Victor was the fifth child of Albert and Alice Morris. In 1911 they were living in Gloucester and Victor was 21 and a grocer's assistant.

Victor married Eva Davis, of Longhope, in 1913, and three children were born in South Wales as the family moved back to live in Longhope with Eva's family at Pittstowe House, Longhope.

Victor enlisted to the Royal Garrison artillery in Gloucester in 1915 and arrived in France in August 1916. He was killed in action in August 1917.

Victor is commemorated on the Rolls of Honour in Longhope Church and in the Zion Chapel.
