I came across Norman Nesbitt through the Grounds for Appeal project at North Yorkshire archives. The appeal was actually for his brother Bernard Noel Nesbitt. Norman was one of six brothers and the only one of the five brothers who enlisted that was KIA. I am pleased to report that the other four brothers returned from active duty, two of them living well into their eighties and one in his nineties.
